In the middle of June, the newest hotel of the Continental Group, Hotel Oktogon opened its doors. The new hotel was created by the renovation of the former Haggenmacher Palace. In the 121 rooms of the historic building, classic style is mixed with modern design in a really special way, boldly playing with strong colors and contrasts in very good proportions. My personal favorites are the lounge next to the boardroom, and the suite on the corner of Andrássy avenue and Eötvös street, whose bathroom is surrounded by a mirror standing in the middle of the room. It creates a great challenge for photography.
